What a week!

I don't feel like I have accomplished anything but I haven't had time to sit down either. Ricky and Brance are outside in the rain doing something with their bows, Annie is in her room watching HSM3, probably asleep by now because that was her goal and I have a load of towels washing and no idea what to cook for supper! I did get my hair trimmed today so it isn't as big right this minute as it has been. I do have Church of God hair, the bigger the hair the closer to Jesus, lets just say I'm real close! It isn't an 80's thing I just woke up one morning with really curly hair. I'm sure my out of control hormones have a lot to do with it.

Wow the week has flown by. My pre-k consultant visited on Tuesday for several hours. It was a good report just nerve racking. Yesterday our new license consultant came to visit for six hours. For the first time in my ten years at Dahlonega Country Day we got all "mets"! That is a BIG DEAL! I am so proud of myself and my coworkers. The transmission for the bus hasn't came in yet so we are hoping for Monday. We had several students that were absent this week so it made afternoon pick up real easy for us.

I think the kids have ball practice every night this coming week. Practices are at 6 and 7:30 pm, Ricky is so good to take the kids because he knows how much I hate it. I deal with kids, parents and employees all day I don't want to visit with them at the ball field at night or on Saturdays. I know that sounds terrible but it is just how I feel. Ricky works with guys all day but he gets a lot of time alone, I so envy that. I'm sure I will have to do some practices this week but Ricky will always do the late ones so I can go to bed. Staying up late has never been my thing. Six friends from work and I are going to Gatlinburg the weekend of March 13 for two nights without husbands or kids. I don't know what I'm going to do at night because I will be ready for bed and they will just be getting started. That could create a huge problem as we are driving my car. Actually we plan to drive my car I priced it to a preschool parent today, you know I'm always trying to sell something.

Well my towels are finished so I have to get up long enough to put them in the dryer I might as well try to do something while I am up. Last year I did really good to eat healthy and exercise, now I just want to sit on the sofa and eat bon-bons. I'm really into facebook and a lot of people post that they run, yuck! I hate running. When I went to Westfield and we had to run in PE first thing every morning I swore I would never do that again and I'm sticking to it. Every once in a while when I'm aggravated I will run on the treadmill wide open for about two minutes it doesn't take long to out run my anger!

I forgot something else

Our pre-k consultant showed up that takes up about three hours of my time and DFCS showed up to inquire about a family.

My life as a preschool director...

Does that sound like a good name for a book? I have said for many years that I am going to write a book about my life at the preschool. Lets talk about today. The transmission is coming out of the bus. Yesterday as I was returning from the morning route I knew the transmission wasn't changing. When I went to pick up that afternoon I couldn't go very fast and the motor was reved really high so when I go to a downward slope I put the bus in neutral and rolled as far as I could. When I returned yesterday afternoon with a full load I could only go 20 miles an hour. It took forever to get back to the preschool as there is a long incline on one of the roads I have to travel. So this morning I took seven kids in my Expedition and this afternoon Darlene and I took both of our cars to bring them home, we had three kids absent. I don't know what I will do tomorrow. The bus should be repaired by Friday.

Ricky has taken Annie to softball practice. Next week we will start in full swing with both kids having practice on Tuesday and/or Thursday, Awana Wednesday and piano Friday. I am not looking forward to it. I had put some ribs in the crock pot for Ricky and Annie and should be doing something productive with myself but I just decided to pick up the laptop. Brance is learning how to blue tooth ring tones to my phone. I have no idea when my phone is ringing because I don't recognize the ring tone.

Well I need to attempt to do something before Ricky gets home.

The kids went snow tubing...

as usual I didn't take any pictures! It was 23 degrees with the wind blowing. The youth group from our church had their first outing and I sat in the car. I think we had a little more than 40 people total. I helped the kids get their clothes changed then I walked from my car to Darlene's and got in the backseat with Elizabeth and Dana. It was so cold and windy that I didn't get out to take any pictures, Jeff took some so I'll have to see if he got any of my kids.

Brance and Ricky are gone to baseball tryouts. It is 45 degrees right this minute, Brance was mad because I made him wear a boggin on his head and that isn't cool. I don't care what is cool he stays sick and I get tired of hearing him cough and wheeze and sniff!

I don't have a lot to say today because I'm really sleepy. I have done several loads of laundry since we got home and cooked supper. Today was my lunch day so I got up this morning at 5 am to cook, then I came home and did it all over again. Annie has already had her bath and I'm thinking if I could muster up the energy to walk into the bathroom I could probably take a bath too. I would love to get in the tanning bed but that would mean walking upstairs. My hands are so dry they are red and cracked so getting in more water is a little discouraging. So far Annie's hands are dry but not cracked yet. I would sleep in gloves with a lot of lotion but that sort of freaks Ricky out.

Well that's all folks...

Saturday is almost over...

and I haven't done much. Today is the first day that I have just sat around and not really worried about anything. I finally took a bath so I could go to the grocery store. Monday is my lunch bunch day and I didn't have anything to cook. I sure took care of that and a lot more with $255 worth of stuff. I actually made a list and stuck to it tonight so I would be able to cook a few things this week. Tomorrow after church the youth (Brance), is going to Scaly Mtn to snow tube. He invited several friends so I will be driving there also. Monday night Brance has baseball tryouts, Annie has softball on Tuesday, Awana at church on Wednesday and piano on Thursday. That just about sums up the next five days of my life.

Yesterday Annie and I went to Mandi Posey Paris' house. She and I knew each other at Westfield, I remember watching Dirty Dancing for the first time at her house! I found her on facebook. Anyway she made Annie the most incredible monogram shirts and hairbows you could imagine. If you have a little girl check out her website at http://pocketfulofposies.shutterfly.com let her know I sent you! You will love her stuff.

It's funny that the road to her house it across the street from my aunt and uncle's subdivision. Annie and I went to see them for a few hours. When I was a little girl and would visit Faye she would drag out all of her make up and jewelry for me to look at and really just admire. She would let me put on her diamond rings and gold bracelets. It was really a big deal for this little girl. Anyway I often tell Annie about it. Unfortunately time doesn't allow Annie to get to visit with Faye or Judy very often. Last night when we went to Faye and Barry's she got some of her jewelry out. Annie was as fascinated by it as I was. It was really exciting for her. They also have a little dog Smokey that Annie adores because she can hold him in her lap. Faye is dog sitting for a friend and it was smaller than Smokey, her name is Trissy. She would let Annie carry her like a little girl. Both of the dogs were Shitzu's.

We are watching the Supercross on tv live from Atlanta. Therefore no Fox News for me tonight. Maybe I should just break down and put a tv in my bedroom.

Home again home again jiggity jog...

We finally got home about 5 pm and we left at 12! It rained the entire way mom called to tell me that several counties we would be in were under a tornado watch. There was 5 inches of snow on the mountain so we couldn't get across that made us go the long way around. We stop in Maryville at the mall for a few minutes, then at Krystal in Chatsworth.

This morning I took the kids swimming at 8 am. I let them swim for a little more than an hour. The kids did really well playing together probably better than I would have expected, Brance and Annie didn't argue with each other either. Missy and Joann stayed in the room. Cameron is Missy's youngest he will be 7 in March. Anyway he is just a baby doll. You don't hear anything from him and he is very pleasant to be around. He doesn't run around the pool area or anything. I told the kids they had two minutes left, I was on my cell phone and saw Cameron jump from the side of the pool and do a complete flip in the air, as he was going into the water he hit his head on the edge of the pool. I saw my live pass before my eyes. Before I could get to him he was coming up and I told him to get out of the pool. He said "why am I bleeding?". He was fine but it scared me to death. Missy had trusted me with her kids at the pool and I let Cameron knock his head off. He later said that it didn't really hurt but I scared him when I came after him. As he was picking his water gun up his towel fell into the pool so he had to go back to the room without his towel. Then as he was getting out of my car he slid on the running board and hit the pavement. Poor little thing I don't think he will like me anymore. Enough about Cameron, Garret is the oldest one he's about six weeks older than Brance. He is bigger than me, not fat just big. He is so cute. His daddy is about 6'4 so he still has a lot of growing to do. He looks like the Jolly Green Giant standing beside Brance. I hope we can take the kids off together again sometime soon. Disney is October?

We are watching American Idol and Ricky has already went to bed. Obviously he didn't miss us while we were gone!

I'm hiding out in the bedroom...

hoping they can't find me! Missy and her gang came up Monday morning, her mom and two boys. We have had two exhausting days. We ate at Texas Roadhouse tonight, I ate more food than I thought my body could consume, drank two Cokes (I gave up everything but water in September 2007), and ate cheesecake for dessert. Ricky would be so embarrassed. I usually eat more than he does ever but tonight would have been too much for him. Sadly, I could still eat something. Miss Piggy I am! Joann has the kids playing UNO, Missy is playing solitaire on her iphone so I came to the bedroom with my laptop alone. I'm watching American Idol and so far so good.

I am finding facebook a bit boring. I don't know how my "friends" manage to facebook during working hours and not so much at night. When are they doing their work? I am off until Thursday. I will work for a few hours before Darlene and I go take Amy to Athens. Amy is retaking a test to get into the PT program at NGCSU. She took the test a few months ago and did really well but wants to do better. She is directionally challenged so I am going to get her there and return her home safely. With that said I will have to get payroll taken care of sometime before Friday at 2 pm and all my other work packed in also. I will probably go to work for a few hours on Saturday so I don't start the week behind. Pre-K and public school is out until Thursday so there isn't a whole lot going on.

I bought High School Musical 3 today. Annie wants to watch it when American Idol goes off. I told her we need to wait for family fun night on Friday because I won't be able to stay awake to watch all of it.

Michelle and Grayce should start home from their skiing trip tomorrow. They went to Sugar Beech, NC with G's youth group. Michelle said it is a long way from Perry, she drove her own car so she didn't have to ride the bus.

I can't post pictures because all three of us left our cameras at home.

We finally made it

Well we did, Missy isn't here yet. Garrett doesn't feel well so they are going to come up in the morning. We left after church so we could stop in Mountain City to eat at the Feed Mill. The food is so good there. Once we got checked in I begged the kids to ride out to Hammer's but they wouldn't have any part of it. I did get them to leave long enough to eat at Cracker Barrel without argument. Annie loves it Brance doesn't. As we were sitting in line for HOT Krispy Kreme's Annie was aggravating Brance so he kicked her in the face. We pulled out of line and came back to the room. We went by Books A Million for a few minutes and didn't buy anything. The kids hate it when I drag them into the bookstore, sounded like fair punishment to me.

Michelle and Grayce left on the MYF ski trip today. Michelle is driving and said the two buses had her in between them. Someone must have told them how easily she gets lost. I told her I was going to write the company a letter and tell them how much I appreciate them taking care of her.

We are watching a movie Retrievers that I ordered from Family Christian Stores for $5. It was for family fun night on Friday. We didn't have it Friday (thank you Lord) so we are having it tonight. I'm not it counts since Ricky isn't with us.

Ricky and Beulah were piled up on the sofa when he called earlier. He had a bow tournament after church and was late getting home.

I think the movie is almost over so I need to get off the computer and act like I am interested in what we are watching.

We went to grandmas today

She cooked the best lunch. I couldn't wait to call and tell Michelle what I was eating. Annie stayed home so it was just mom and I. We were able to shop a little without Annie telling me she was dying or something crazy like she does. I had hoped to come home early but it didn't work out that way. Annie had a friend over while Ricky and Brance played outside. Brance did give Beulah a bath. Annie is already asleep on the love seat. I bought some new things today that I had to wash before I could pack them to take with me. Brance has put some clothes on the rail upstairs for me to look at but I just don't want to pack yet. Instead I'll wait until in the morning then act like a crazy women trying to pack and get ready for church.

My Ernie Haase tickets, well actually the envelope they were in, came in the mail today. I ordered two for Darlene separately from mine and six for me. When I opened the first envelope the two tickets were there. When I opened the second envelope it was empty. The side had been cut and the tickets were gone. I called the post office and they are doing a search for them. I can't call the ticket place until Monday, surely they will help me to have them replaced if I can't find them.

I bought Fireproof and was excited to watch it tonight but instead we are watching Sweet Home Alabama for the one millionth time. Its good though.

If we have wireless in our condo I'll update tomorrow hopefully with pictures.

It's Friday night...

and Annie has forgotten about family fun night! YIPPY! She will probably remember about 8 pm as she is getting ready for bed and have a total breakdown about it. She will make us do it tomorrow night after we have been gone to grandma's all day. As some time tomorrow I have to get our things together to go to Pigeon Forge, we are meeting Missy after church on Sunday. She told me today that Robbie said he might go that works for me, he doesn't feel good, he is getting over some minor surgery on Monday and Annie hates to shop but is a good nurse. He can go with us and everybody will be happy. Brance and Annie both like Robbie a lot. Annie called him Bobbit for the longest time, she calls Missy MiMi.

We had a lot of Valentine Parties today. There was so much chocolate and cupcakes that I don't want to eat either. Robin brought her chocolate fondue machine and I ate sliced bananas for a while. They were so good! Annie and I like fondue but Ricky thinks its stupid to pay a lot of money for your food then have to cook it. It just doesn't get it.

Ricky is watching something about Nascar on Speed Channel, Annie is on her laptop playing Webkins and Brance is upstairs talking to his girlfriend on the telephone. I got a new Cosmo magazine in the mail yesterday so I hope I can disappear into my bedroom and read it. I have most of the laundry done tonight so I won't have to worry about washing our stuff before I pack it.

I really don't have anything to talk about. After the episode with Annie's pantyhose this week I can't compare to that. Happy Friday!

Its raining its pouring the old man is snoring...

Actually the dog is snoring. Awana has been canceled tonight because we are a bunch of slackers and look for any reason to cancel a church event. The Atlanta news is predicting severe storms and most folks don't want to be out in the mess. I don't really care if it rains while I'm home or at church a tornado can get me at either location. What God decides! I have already tanned and bathed so I'm in really good shape for the rest of the night. Ricky and Brance are watching some weird movie on tv so Annie and I are sitting on my bed with our laptops like a couple of nerds!

Missy started her new job today, Yeah for Missy! I don't really have anything exciting to tell you after yesterday's laugh about Annie's clothes. This is three nights that we have been at home, it won't last long as baseball/softball will start in about two weeks.

Two blogs in one day...

This is so funny I cannot believe I forgot to share it. Annie picks out her own clothes everyday. If we pick them out at night she still chooses something different in the morning. I have decided it isn't worth the argument when I am trying to get us out the door for school. So today when she came downstairs she was wearing a striped baby doll top that a little too small with tight black leggins and black patten shoes with a sweatshirt over all of it. I told her she could wear those clothes today, then once they are washed she could put them in the grow out box. Nothing else was said.

When she came in from school today without her sweatshirt on I realized that her too small top didn't cover her bottom and she wasn't wearing leggings she was wearing footless tights. I allowed her to go to school in nothing more than footless pantyhose and a t-shirt! What kind of mother am I? She said she wondered why everyone kept telling her they could see her panties. I called her teacher and left a message apologizing for allowing the clothes misphap to happen.

I hope this has made your day.

So much to do

The kids and I are meeting Missy and her kids Sunday in Pigeon Forge for several days. This is the first time I have taking off work during a school break. I have so much to do to get ready and I don't want to do anything. I have stayed on top of the laundry so far and we are still eating leftovers from Sunday so maybe we can have ham and potato salad one more night without complaints. Ricky HATES leftovers I'm sure he is so excited to have a home cooked meal he isn't complaining. I will cook tomorrow because we have Awana and Heather likes me to bring her supper!

The weather outside is beautiful! The kids were able to stay out and play ball with Ricky yesterday. I was looking for all the pictures that I downloaded on my computer and realized that after I downloaded all of them my computer crashed so I lost everything. The only thing I have now are the last Disney trip because they are on a cd from Disney. I would like to take pictures of the kids next week if I can remember to take my camera. Brance and Annie both got a camera for Christmas and they have been really good to take a lot of pictures of all of us. If only I could do the same.

We are going to grandmas on Saturday since we haven't been for a couple of weeks. She said Garden Ridge had all there Christmas stuff 90% off if there is anything left. We are going to find out.

Its time for me to get busy in the house so I will be ready for American Idol at 8 pm, I'm not loving it yet. I don't like all that talk, I want to watch the singing.

Just a lazy Sunday

We drove two cars to church as usual, I wanted to go to the Belk's in Gainesville. Ricky and Brance took off without Annie, poor child gets treated worse than a dog, I stayed after service because TR our pastor volunteered me to sale these 50 adventure journals when I got ready to go Annie was in the car waiting for me. Back to the journals we took orders for two Sundays and somehow I lost not misplaced LOST the orders from last Sunday until today. So I had to haul this box around and ask the folks if they placed an order.

Now about Annie she is the worst shopper ever. How did I have a child that hates to shop? She complains about everything I look at or pick up, she complains about her feet hurting, she complains that she is hot or cold (she gets that from her Aunt Michelle), she cries that if we don't get something to eat or drink right now she is going to die, then she tells me how unhappy I am making Jesus because I made her go shopping. I cannot get her figured out. I so understand why Wayne Morris spanked me every day of my life! Brance is a dream shopper! He tells me the honest truth about what I try on and he carries my bags. I am raising him to be such a good boyfriend one day. The kids want me to take them to New York but Ricky and Annie would hate it. All that walking would make Ricky crazy and Annie would just grumble about everything involved. I told Brance if we could get someone we like to go with us and share a room I would take him.

You know I love Disney! They have some incredible deals for the fall. It isn't quite time to book yet, the deals will get better just be patient.

Tomorrow is my day for Lunch Bunch. Have I told you about this? There are about 12 of my coworkers that all sign up twice a month to bring lunch to the other 12 coworkers. I have cooked a great meal for tomorrow. I still have to put some things in the oven before work so its hot.

That's all for now.

Blogging now facebook...

I can barely manage to get myself to work everyday and now I have added facebook to the mix. What was I thinking? Would you believe for the first time in 10 years I ran out of business checks? I realized that I was low on Monday when I was paying DCD's February bills so I held off on somethings that could wait until next week in hopes of having enough checks. I ordered checks and had them overnighted once they were printed. I called the bank about getting 35 counter checks and the machine is broken. Yesterday I went to the branch in Dawsonville to pick them up. I was waiting to start payroll until the last possible minute today but hey, I wanted to get paid also! So not only did I have to write the checks all 35 of them, I had to write the company name and account number on every single one of them. As soon as I finished the UPS guy showed up with my checks!

Ricky was off today. He came by my office at 11:30 on his way to have lunch with his friend. How weird is that? When I got home tonight he had all the laundry done. I wish he did that every week. Now I just have to wash my stuff, I'm really funny about my clothes and don't want him to touch them.

Annie and I went to the new Food Lion in Dawsonville. It is so clean. I can't really find anything so I get confused about half way through because I don't know what I'm looking for. I try hard not to take the kids with me but Annie wanted to go. I knew it was a mistake when we pulled out of the driveway. She got this little baby buggy to push that was way to small for her. She had so much stuff loaded up in it I'm not sure what we bought. I was just ready to go home and low on patience with her. After I have worked all day I don't want to be around my own kids. I know that is terrible but that's just how I feel.

Annie started this "Friday is family fun night", back during the summer. We all watch a movie or play a board game together. I know I should enjoy it but it drives me crazy. Ricky says I don't want to play the game because the kids won't let me win. That's probably true, I got the kids a Dogopoly game last year for Christmas. It is like Monopoly except dogs. Brance will kick your butt every time you play. The game has the potential to last for several days, however after an hour I get mad and quit! Now its time for fun night again. We are going to watch Don't Mess with Zohan. Its Adam Sandler and I usually like him, I'm not sure about the Zohan it looks pretty stupid.

Well that's all for now.

Two days in a row...

I'm blogging because Annie's laptop is handy and American Idol isn't so great. Ricky and Beulah are trying to sleep on the sofa beside me so they aren't giving me a lot of room. We still have snow flurries outside. Brance went to school today but called me from the bus this morning to pick him up because his stomach hurt. He is on day 18 of his 30 day antibiotic so I'm sure he does have a stomach ache. He had to sit in my office all day. That is the first time is in 10 years that he has ever stayed in the office with me all day. I think he realizes I do work while I am there. My bank statement balanced to the penny the first time! That doesn't happen very often.

I am really hooked on the Ernie Haase blog. ehssq.blogspot.com I love that he updates most everyday. He is in Vegas today my favorite place.

I got the sale flyer from Family Christian Stores today. They have valentine shirt that says I Love My Wife and I Love My Husband. I'm going to buy one for Ricky. Don't you think it will be cute?

I thought I has something exciting to say but I've already forgot. I can't watch tv and blog at the same time.

It's Snowing Out...

Well I think its snow. We are having flurries. Flurries are bits of snow you see every once in a while, nothing consistent or sticking. The wind is terrible and its cold. I don't think its flurring enough to miss school tomorrow. This morning I hit ice on the road in two different places.

Daddy and Margarett came up on Saturday. We met at the Ihop in Dawsonville and shopped for a little while. Annie and I came home and left Brance with them. They only came to the house about an hour before we went to dinner. We ate at a new place on the square called the Porterhouse. The food was good, my meat was too done but tasted good. They stayed at the Holiday Inn as I do not have a guest bedroom and Annie now has a twin bed. I offered my room but they wouldn't take our bed for themselves. I figure with food and lodging this one night trip cost them a lot of money.

Brance's teacher emailed me today about his "class clown" behavior. It's hard for me to get on to him because he has a 100 in the class. Out of four academic classes he has a 100 in three of them and a 98 in the other. How do you get on him about his behavior when he has an A? I showed him the email and asked him how he was going to change his behavior. He is very afraid of consequences so I don't expect his goofy behavior to continue. He doesn't want to loose his phone or his computer. I cooked dinner last night and already have ribs in the oven for Annie and Ricky. Annie is a great eater unlike Brance and I, I will add some macaroni and Brance will be happy. Last week Ricky cleaned in basement sweeping and getting the cobwebs down. He moved all of his archery stuff down there and cleaned the garage out. The only thing in the garage is a refrigerator and a freezer. My car has so much room. He also cleaned out some of the laundry room and made me rewash all of my scrubs and move them into the closet. He likes to clean as long as I am cleaning too. I worked in the kitchen for a while and that made him happy. When the kitchen is spotless I like to cook. Two nights in a row and its only Tuesday. Speaking of supper, I need to finish it so thats all I have for today. We don't have any obligations tonight but to watch American Idol, they are in Hollywood!
