I'm Updating...

We haven't done anything this week except Awana. Brance didn't go to scouts and Annie didn't go to piano. Our laundry is all caught up. Ricky and Brance starting working in the basement yesterday trying to move all the archery stuff out of the garage downstairs. I may actually get to park in the garage again. I think I have said this before, our house has a double garage and a garage door in the basement. We have added an additional detatched two car garage and I have to park outside. Something is really wrong with that. We don't want the mower or the motorcycles to be in the weather!

I don't have much time to blog. Daddy and Margarett are coming up tomorrow so I need to make the effort to clean my house. Daddy doesn't care and would never say anything about it not being clean I just want it to look nice when he gets here. He said they would be here by 12 but I'm not holding my breath. I think their intentions are always good they just get side tracked on the way and find many other things to do.

Ricky has been working in the laundry room today. He went to this four day work week so he spends his Friday's lolly-gagging around. Bubba is out of the country so he hasn't done a lot this week. He did go to a job in Gainesville this morning about starting next week so I guess he did do something.

I am really sleepy and would like to go to sleep but Ricky will just think I am trying to get out of housework. Maybe I can sneak into the bedroom and he won't pay any attention to me. If he could find a good movie on tv to get interested in I would be in great shape.

That's all folks...

Are you smarter than a 5th grader?

I'm not! I don't know any of these answers tonight. Annie is sick with strep! I added up my doctor co-pays and prescription charges today and I had already spent $750 just this month. That doesn't count the $235 for the dentist for the kids December 30th. Then tonight her antibiotic was another $120. I don't use a credit card so everything just comes right out of my checking account. I sure wasn't budgeted for $1000 in medical this month. Ricky goes to Gainesville, FL the last weekend of January every year to a big archery tournament and I take the kids to Pigeon Forge for Brance's birthday, it is on Wednesday. We cannot do either! A few of the girls I work with are planning a girls weekend March 13 for two nights, no husbands, no kids. What happens over the mountain stays over the mountain, I am so excited! A few of them wanted to go to the beach but I can't go to the beach with my kids.

Back to Annie being sick. She has complained about her throat for a few days but said she had a headache when she came in from school today. Of course she had a fever and sore throat so I called the doctor and they just called her in something. Annie went right to her room and went to sleep at 4 pm when we got home. She slept until after 6 pm when I woke her up to take her medicine. She came downstairs and ate two bowls of oatmeal and now she is asleep again on the love seat with Beulah piled on top of her. I'm going to wake her up again in a little while to take more Tylenol.

Ricky and Brance went to Aaron and Sonya's to shot their bows. My car is in the shop getting a 100,000 mile make over so our friend Matt, he was my friend first, came out to get the boys so I wasn't home with a vehicle. Craig called about 7:30 pm to tell me my car would be ready in a little while so we will just wait to pick it up tomorrow. I really hate that Craig is working so late to get my car serviced. I could have sent it to WMF and had a nice car to drive but it's not worth the hassle. Ricky usually drives his service truck home but this week he has been hauling rock so he has drove the dump truck home every night. He says there isn't any reason to crank his diesel work truck and let it warm up to drive to the shop to crank the dump truck so it can warm up. We are a little weird because last week when I left my car at Craigs I drove the bus home from the preschool. Craig couldn't get to my car is why I have taken it back.

I'm trying really hard to stay up to watch Don't Forget the Lyrics, Ricky Springfield is going to be on there.

I have just enough time to put on my pajamas and get ready.

Put on your big girl panties and get over it...

Beulah is trying to lick laptop...

You know she's the sweet little dog that lies on the heat vent when she is cold, the laptop gets really warm so she gets as close to the laptop user as possible to feel the warmth. I think she is pretty smart. My sister on the other hand, well there is a lot to be said about her...

Michelle is a full time gopher that doesn't collect a paycheck. She runs the car pool, cooks, cleans all the mother stuff, works at the dealership runs around for Brian and the three kids, manages rental property, she does the sports thing and that's just the beginning. She finds time to blog most everyday and complains when I don't. She even changes her blog page often and I can barely add photos. I tell her everyday she needs a full time job so she can get a break and collect a paycheck.

I have finally got music on my ipod! I took Brance's laptop to church last night and Jeff got it fixed up for me. He is our music guy at church and always on top of the latest technology. Brance listened to some of my music and thinks I am now a freak. I have everything from Neil Diamond to Motley Crue. He did like some of the songs but wasn't sure about most of them.

Heather had to go to Toccoa this morning because a great uncle died. She got to work about 3:30 and we had to leave to get a haircut. I didn't get to have a conversation with her all day today. She is a middle grades major. She should graduate May 2010. I can't believe she is considering working outside of DCD. Maybe by the time she graduates and gets a public school job, I'll have some kind of financial windfall and I won't have to work anymore. As I type this I realize that I live in a bubble. My life depends on the happenings of DCD. I guess I was raised that way because the bubble growing up revolved around the car business. I really am glad that our parents raised us to have a work ethic. I don't see it very often in most of the young staff I hire or the older staff that's been around for a while.

I also have decided that some days when I don't have anything good to talk about, I will not waste your time, I will just put a simple saying up for the day.

I just haven't been the same since the house feel on my sister...

What happened to the snow?

It has snowed all day but we don't have anything to show for it. I think the wind has blown it all away. It hasn't been above freezing all day. Try driving the bus at 7 am if you want to know what cold is all about. The kids were out of school yesterday. I took Brance to see Dr. Nish, the allergy asthma doctor, he hasn't been since June and has been pretty snotty since October. He takes Singular and Claritin every day and has come off all preventative medicine. Well after one round of antibiotics and still being stuffy, Dr. Nish has put him back on more medicine than he has taken in a long time. He will continue to take Singular and Claritin everyday and we are going back to Advair once a day. We are adding a 25 day antibiotic and a ten day steroid. He will be acting like a monster before the end of the week. I'm now up to more than $500 in medical expense since January 1st.

We are watching American Idol. I am finally getting tired of all the stupid crap they have going on. Annie wants to sing at church but I hesitate to encourage her because of the dummies on AI that think they can sing because their mom's encouraged them instead of hurting their feelings.

Today was definitely a history making day. I am so tired of the political garbage that we have been listening too since the summer. I'll be glad when the new wears off so we don't have to talk about the presidency anymore.

I guess that is all for now. I have a few pages in a book to finish during the commercial breaks.

Brance got me an ipod for Christmas so that when I run I will have music to listen to, isn't he sweet to assume I'm going to exercise? Anyway I finally got a lot of songs downloaded on limewire and they automatically went to itunes. I downloaded more songs tonight but they didn't move to itunes automatically and I don't have any idea how to get them over there. Chase or Kelly I sure could use your help.

That's all for now.

Its almost Friday

Where has the week gone? I already told you Monday was strep for me and Scouts for Brance. I was able to come home and rest in between loads of laundry. I went to work Tuesday feeling better, not great but better. I was so excited to get home so I could lay down, we hadn't been home five minutes when Annie was screaming from her room. This scream was a little different from her "not getting my way" scream. It was much like the time she cut her finger with the steak knive. Anyway she was hurt. She fell on a box and cut a nice chunk out of her chin. Two weeks ago when Ricky did her floors I bought her a bookcase at Ikea that hasn't been put together yet. Ricky and Brance moved the heavy box into her room. She has a desk and chair that I'm positive she has never used for homework she uses it when she is playing. Of course the box was in front of the desk and she needed to move it in order to do her homework. As she was pushing the box in her sock feet, her feet slipped out from under her and she hit the box with her chin. Its actually just under her chin and she didn't hit the corner of the box she hit the flat part. I called her doctors office that doesn't do emergency care and they let me bring her to them anyway. The nurse and the doctor debated the best option and decided for glue. Dura bond something, it works just like Gorilla Glue. The nurse got her gloved fingers stuck to her chin twice. All Annie needed was a little more drama in her life.

We went back to Awana last night. I made sure to get everybody out so I could be home to watch American Idol. Michelle got on to me today when I called her and said in the time it took to call her I could be blogging. What is she thinking?

Annie had piano at 4:30, we went over to Darlene's right after for a few minutes. While we were there Elizabeth called to tell us Jill, our church piano player and Annie's teacher, had fallen down the steps and broken her arm and maybe her leg. When I called to check on her, her son said they had her loaded in the ambulance trying to get out of the driveway. I offered to go over with the kids but he said the grandma was on her way.

I hope this is enough blogging for my sister because I need to make something for dinner and help Annie get her things together for a spend the night party tomorrow.

What a yucky day!

Saturday we went to grandma's house. She was so excited to show me her new bras. I'm positive she would die if she knew I was blogging about it. Her new bras are padded, push up lacy bras. I could not believe that she bought them. She kept telling me she liked them because they put her boobies up where they are supposed to be, one of the bras even had lacy straps!

We took a car load of stuff to Goodwill, they are so kind to unload all my stuff. Mom and I took Annie to Bugaboo Creek for dinner. Grandma didn't feel like going with us. I wore a tank top with a shelf bra with a zip up windbreaker over it. It was very modest you couldn't see anything. I usually spray a little bit of Pink body spray on me. Darlene gave me something new for Christmas that sprays and has shimmer so I used it Saturday instead of my regular Pink. Annie saw the spray and thought it was gross. At Bugaboo Creek we had a really sweet waiter, he was cute but probably young enough to be my child. Mom and Annie went to the bathroom after we had eaten and he walked over to the table and sat down across from me and started talking for just a couple of minutes. I don't think I have ever had a waiter sit down with me and start talking. So mom and Annie come back and he jumps up and leaves. Annie got really mad about it saying doesn't he know you have a husband, blah, blah blah. Are you kidding, he was hitting on me I am so excited. When we got in the car Annie continued to rant about it. I started laughing and asked her did she think it was the shimmer spray or my boobies that got his attention. Of course she rushed right in the door to tell Ricky I didn't wear a bra and the waiter was looking at me. He laughed about it too!

I have strep throat. I had strep two years ago in February. I had a miserable headache on Thursday and Friday but thought it was probably the air pressure. Saturday I felt fine but Sunday my body starting aching so bad it hurt to move. I stayed in the bed until after 5 pm yesterday. Ricky and Brance had an archery tournament so Annie took care of me. Ricky left about 7:30 am so he didn't know anything was wrong with me. When he came home last night Annie told him I was helpless and she made me lunch. He said if I would have called him he would have came home to take care of me. After driving the bus this morning I went to the doctor. I asked her to check me for strep first and it came back positive. Our prescription deductable is $250 per family member. On Friday I picked up Brance and Annie's Singular and some other meds for them and spent more than $250. Today I picked up my Singular and one of the antibiotics pills (I have to have the antibiotic pre approved) and I spent more than $200. I expect the antibiotic will be more than $100 tomorrow. So much for going to Disney I'm spending all my money at the drug store.

The boys are gone to Boy Scouts. Annie and I are sitting on the sofa playing on the laptops. Beulah is curled up between us snoring away.

We are back to normal

Well almost! We had four inches of rain yesterday. Ricky and Bubba have been working at the shop, I think they are secretly building an ark. We don't really need anything that big just something that will stay above water.

The kids went back to school today. In the morning I unload the pre-k kids from their cars. Pre-k starts at 8:15 so I unload 8-8:15. Out of 60 kids, at least ten are late everyday and drag in by 8:30. Today all 60 kids were present before 8:15 obviously their moms were ready to get rid of them. I had the bus serviced during break and it is running like new. My car is ready for a big over haul. I am going to leave it at the shop tomorrow night for a 100,000 mile tune up. It only has 93,000 miles but my fuel mileage has decreased by three miles so it is time to have it serviced.

Ricky finally took his truck for service on Monday. For the first time in our married life (13 years) he took it himself. I always take it as I can find plently of things to do in the direction of the quick lube. At the quick lube, actually it is called Diamond Auto Spa you get an oil change and a car detail for $30. Hall Book Exchange is just next door so I get to make a trip there. I exchange my books so I have a big store credit.

I talked to my Gma last night. She was full of herself! She told me she got new bras and how they put her boobies up where they needed to be. That was the best she has sounded in more than six months. I like to talk to her when she is being a little silly. She went out with Peggy yesterday and Nell took her out last week. Mom and Annie went down last Thursday and she went to Wal Mart. The weather has been nice enough she has enjoyed getting out of the house. I told her I would come down on Saturday if she wanted me too. When mom goes she wants to go out somewhere, when I go she wants me to move furniture or clean out closets. What's up with that?

Ricky is watching some goofy movie on the Hallmark Channel. I haven't watched Shep Smith or Bill O'Reilly in two weeks. They have been on vacation and had someone else do their show, O'Reilly has been rerun stuff. Of course I can't watch it tonight either.

At work today Heather gave me a hard time about eating some chocolate candy so I came home a made a cake! I made Zipper peas and cornbread with a good cake. I can't wait to eat my leftovers in front of Heather tomorrow!

Ricky has finally flipped it to Fox News. He says I can't type and watch the news at the same time so I have to go!

Don't let me miss the glory...

Happy New Year!

What a way to start the New Year, I started cleaning Annie's room this morning before 10 am and have just now left it. Brance took her queen size bed apart and put the day bed together for her. Ricky put up a shelf for her American Girl dolls to sit on and mounted her dry erase board to the wall behind her door. Hopefully this weekend we can remove her furniture and put in her new flooring. Brance took a lot of bags out to the trash and has filled my car full of bags we are taking to the Goodwill tomorrow. There are still as many donate bags in the loft as are in my car. I guess I'll load up again once I have room. I think it will take me about four trips to get rid of the things I have together. When we were moving the old bed into the tanning bed room I noticed two containers of Annie's I didn't go through so apparently I have a lot more cleaning out to do. After my fall trip to the dump to dump 1200 pounds, I'm feeling really trashy! My house is still a long way from where it needs to be. When we had our house on the market four years ago we kept it picked up all the time. I guess we probably just need to list it again so we will keep it clean.

I'm no farther with Brance's boarder removal than I was before. I didn't even look at it today. Both of their rooms desperately need to be painted. They haven't had anything done to them since we moved in and this month will be ten years.

I haven't talked to Michelle all day. When she gets involved with the Mouse she forgets all about me. I can handle it she will be home Tuesday. However when I'm with the Mouse I talk to her several times a day each day.

We are watching Darn Cat a new version that so far has several "has been" actors from the 60's, 70's and 80's in it.

Well enough for now I have to go back to work tomorrow.
