Boycott Girl Scout Cookies

Can you believe it? I am watching Fox News because if I'm home that's what I listen to. Some organization is calling to boycott Girl Scout Cookies. What a great idea! I can't eat them anyway. Apparently the troups only get 40 cents off every box sold for $3.50. Yep, I'll boycott!

Have you heard the song Don't Let Me Miss the Glory? I heard Gordon Mote sing it at a Gaither Homecoming in September. You can You Tube it, but it doesn't bring up Gordon Mote but some other person. Listen to it, you will be amazed. We need to make sure we take the time so that we don't miss the glory. My friend Jeff sang it on Sunday. Maybe he will include it on CD #2. I've already told you he is the BEST so why aren't the cd orders pouring in? What's with you folks? If you order today, I'll throw in free shipping and possibly get the cd signed for you! I have told you how wonderful Jeff is, well as you know behind every great man is an even greater woman. Jeff's wife LaDawn doesn't sing, who would living with Jeff, but she is an incredible person. I'm glad that she and I have become friends. When I'm really desperate for help at the preschool and I've called everyone I know, she will come help us and act happy about it. LaDawn doesn't have a paying job, she is a full time mother and wife. She is sweet, kind, beautiful and like a mother bear she would take you down if you messed with her family. She and Jeff are such a blessing to our church and to me personally.

This morning it was snowing like crazy and 26 degrees. Of course we went to school and the snow stopped. It was pretty while it lasted. Today is Chase's 15th birthday. Chase belongs to Rickys brother. He is really quite unlike his daddy and uncle. Chase is a cute kid and very kind. Anyway we are meeting all of Ricky's family at 6:30 pm for dinner at El Maugey. YUCK! The food is marginal and the smell is horrific! We will smell like onions when we leave. It will be late when we get home and we will have to have showers to get the smell off before we go to bed. American Idol starts at 8 pm, what's a girl to do?

Ballet Day

We have ballet tonight. Annie has decided that ballet is for dorks and she doesn't want to go. I have already paid for her May program $150, dorks or not, she's going to ballet! I boycotted Oprah when she endorsed Obama. Yesterday Valerie Bertinelli was on so I had to watch it, then today she had Rick Springfield and Fonzie! I may need to rethink this boycott. I lifted my boycott on the Cumming Belk store last week when they were kind to me, it has been over a year. If you don't know this about me, when something makes me angry, poor service in a restaurant, Oprah endorsing Obama, Eckerd Drugs over the amount of can cokes in my buggy, you get the idea, well I just boycott them. And believe me, I tell everyone I know to boycott them. Sadly I do this to my family and friends as well. I can't help it, boycotting just works for me. Try yourself sometime. Several years ago I boycotted the Dahlonega McDonalds. I have never had a Big Mac attack like I did then. I realized it had been more than two years since I visited the establishment. So I went back. I decided then it would be better if I put a time frame on my boycotts. Belks wasn't up yet, they just had a really good sale. I'm positive I don't hurt the business of any of these places, it really makes me feel better. How bizarre!

Ricky took Brance to the dentist. Last night Ricky played in the dirt until after 8 pm, the Bobcat has headlights. He said this morning that he was spreading top soil around the back yard. It would make our grass look better. How does he think he's fooling? Grass my butt, he wants good top soil for his food plots. Every once in a while I have to put him on equipment restriction. Kinda like he does me about IKEA and Pigeon Forge. Anyway, he isn't allowed to bring anything home from the shop to play with. I told him this morning that if I saw the Bobcat again in the next month, he would be on equipment restriction again. He looked at me like I had two heads. Guess what? The Bobcat went back to the shop!

Today I only had three teachers out. Darlene had her last day of jury duty. I called TR to come in again, my friend LaDawn came in for us for a little while and we had to get Heather's husband Wes to work in the four year old room. He loved it but I'm sure he went home to take a nap. It was rainy outside so Wes had baby boot camp in the class. He had all the children doing exercises. Wes enjoyed the kids as much as they enjoyed him.

Rick Springfield is singing again so I better go. I have to get Annie ready for ballet!

Is it Friday yet?

What a day! We had three full time girls out with the flu. Darlene and my mom both got picked for the Grand Jury. I was moving kids and staff around like crazy. I called our pre-k consultant at 7:30 this morning and asked her not to come this week. Pre-K consultant's visit at least twice each year. Our consultant lives more than an hour away so she usually only comes when we have really nice weather. Which is normally in the early fall and late spring. Last year she came the week before school dismissed for the summer. I wish that she would come soon and be finished with us for the school year. Today TR, my pastor, subbed for us. He loves to teach in the pre-k classroom. A lot of the times he talks about our kids in the Sunday sermon.

I haven't done a lot today but I feel like I am wore out. Wildfire, my favorite show comes on tonight at 8 pm, we have ballet tomorrow night as well as American Idol, AI for the next three nights so I won't be able to get in the bed early until Friday night. I will never make it until then. My head hurts just thinking about it.

On our way home this afternoon we passed Ricky in the dump truck. When we got home there is a huge pile of dirt by the driveway, I have no idea what he is doing. I wish he would just leave things around here alone. I still don't have blinds on my windows, two lights in the kitchen are blown out and now he will have to bring home a bobcat or something to move this dirt. He looks for things to do outside so that he doesn't have to do anything inside. I can do any of the inside things that I want, but if I do that's one less thing he will take care of. I want him to take care of all of it. I thought he was going to build a garage, but he hasn't taken care of that either. It's a good thing I love him! I sure would like him better if he did things in my time instead of his! Now the weather man is talking about rain and a cold blast. When will it ever end!

Lazy Weekend

I have done NOTHING! I went to see my grandma and papa yesterday. Grandma is 84, papa is 87, she wanted to go to the mall to the new Belk store so I took her. We stayed about two hours and she was wiped out. I realized after we went in that I did not park where she normally parks so she was very confused as to where we were going. Her mind is very clear and she is in really good health. When I last saw her at Christmas, I usually go at least once a month, she liked my hair cut really short. Well last week she had a second cataract removed and they placed a permanent lenses in her eye. Now she doesn't have to wear glasses except to read little print. When I walked in yesterday she asked me what in the world happened to my hair. I told her I was trying to let it grow out. She said she liked it short. I said well I liked you wearing glasses! Of course that shut her up but got a great reaction from my papa. He laughed so hard. He loves it when I entertain him. My grandma gives him a hard time all the time. When I visit and she starts on me I give it right back to her. Papa loves it. He really likes it when Michelle and I visit at the same time. Talk about entertainment, we are something together. It is always nice to see them but a little depressing when it is time to leave.

We went to church this morning like always. Most days the music is good but some days like today, the music was great. Jeff, our music guy, he has cds for a small donation if you are interested let me know and I'll get one to you, we hope a second one is on the way, or if you would like to book him at your church or special occassion let me know, anyway he sang a Gordon Mote song today, Don't Let Me Miss the Glory. It was incredible, Darlene also sang today, We Are Standing on Holy Ground, she did such an amazing job. Jeff had this slide show going the entire time that showed the growth of our small church thus far in just over two years. At the end of the service we sang Oh Happy Day. I love it! Brance says he loves it when we play rock music at church. Our music is the greatest! Ricky and Brance are at an archery tournament somewhere while Annie and I are just being lazy at home. She even let me take a nap! I offered to take her shopping but she just wanted to watch tv all day. She likes being able to watch whatever she wants without Brance fussing with her. I think tonight we are going to watch my favorite movie, Talladega Nights together.

Heather

Heather is such an incredible person. She and her husband Wes came to the school to enroll their daughter Alyssa three years ago. As a young married couple, they were both attending North Georgia College at the same time. Wes was also in the Marines, maybe the Reserves, and went out of town every fourth weekend. Heather started working in the three year old classroom between college classes. She soon became pregnant with their second child, Jac. She quit school and began working full time to help Wes finish school and take care of her children. We constantly invited them to church to no avail. As a young mother and wife, she had quite a few personal struggles that we saw being around her all day. She is a great teacher but I thought she had post partum depression. I asked her about it and of course she fell apart. Sometimes I should really keep my mouth shut! I continued to pray for her and Wes and continued to invite them to church. They both had been in church their entire lives but hadn't found one in Dahlonega. Her job performance began to go down hill, Wes graduated and couldn't find a job with his degree. They truely love one another but needed God's intervention. Wes is without work and she's making minimum wage trying to support their family. By God's grace, she hung in there. I know that she has no earthly idea what a strong person she is. She and Wes finally visited our church. Then we would see them every few weeks. She finally brought the kids to Awana and began doing the ladies bible study with us. Wes got his real estate license and picked up some business, Heather returned to the great teacher that she was and they seem to be moving right along. Heather was able to return to school part time but still needed to work. I was between office help, that's an on-going problem with me, and I needed someone as bad as Heather needed to work. Darlene and I decided to try Heather in the office. We have never pulled someone from the center to put in a management position. What a smart decision that was. She is too humble to be on a power trip, but is firm enough to take care of any problem that arises and not question herself. She is able to go the school full time and work about 30 hours a week. They are still coming to church. Wes makes the announcements on Sunday mornings and takes care of the atheletics while Heather is over Awana and Vacation Bible School. She is also reading her everyday bible right along with me. She does so much for me at work. She actually works circles around me any day! It doesn't matter what I ask her to do, she just does it. I can clean everything off of my desk and put it on hers and she doesn't complain, she puts the stuff away. And she even checks the mail, she really enjoys this even in the cold rain. How bizarre is that? Heather is crafty, makes Annie lots of pretty hairbows, she is sweet, kind, beautiful, wonderful mother, and I think shes a pretty good wife Wes may disagree. Lucky for me, I have her for a friend and co-worker. Now that I think about it, she takes really good care of me. I appreciate her so much and everything she does! I pray that God will continue to pour His blessings on her. And if you need someone to sing the National Anthem for some reason, that's her dream in life. I've only heard her sing a song about son of a preacher man, so I don't know waht her singing really sounds like. I just adore her!

Its Raining!

I though we were having a drought? It rains all the time. Sunday was like a monsoon. My husband can't work when it rains and I like to spend money. I think he needs to get a side job at IKEA so at least I can get a good discount!

I spent another day in my chair running numbers. I AM DONE! I also got payroll finished for all 34 employees. YIPPY! Tomorrow I can lolly-gag most of the day and do soemthing fun. WIth the exception of the bus route, I haven't left the center at all this week. Heather, the absolute best co-worker ever, has graciously brought me something to eat everyday and hasn't asked for a penny. Better than that she doesn't ask what I want, she just gets me something. I know that I owe her a lot of money and will pay her tomorrow. I have the money, she never asks for it. Then when she has to borrow money to pay her bills, I realize I owe her lunch money. She still won't say a word. I like Heather so much, that when I finish this I'm going to do a post all about her.

I am still on track with my every day bible. Usually by this point I'm already behind. I'm reading all about God's law in the Old Testament. I have to read ahead because I like this part so much. I gave a parent at the preschool an everyday bible, she is a little confused between creation and evolution, she told me today how much she is enjoying reading the short scripture everyday. I was so excited to hear her say that! Praise God!

Overworked Today!

I finally got my Vette to post! It would be nicer if the brakes worked so I could drive it occassionally. I am mentally exhausted! About this time every year I begin working numbers to accomodate summer camp children and fall enrollment. I started at 8 am and finally finished the room arrangement and costs at 3 pm, I haven't begun to think about camp kids. I still need to detail my costs for 2007 to compare to my 2008-2009 fall budget. Heather started helping me about 1 pm, she truely has a new respect for the stuff I do at DCD. One of the girls that turned in her notice decided to stay, finally I got a new schedule worked for next week with the one girl that is still leaving (I found a replacement), then after I printed it and made 30 copies, one of the afternoon girls turned in her notice. Well the heck with all of them! Tomorrow I will work on one more schedule. I want to watch American Idol Girls tonight, there is some kind of lunar esclipe suppose to happen about 10:45 pm, my mom always knows the times of these things to the exact minute, spaceweather.com, she said it will start about 8:30 pm but will be full by 10:45 pm. I would love to see it but I can never stay up that late. However the nice thing is that I can always see the moon from one of my windows without going outside. As a matter of fact, for the last nine years, every winter the big, bright, full moon shines right in my bedroom window about 2 am. It shines right in my face. I finally bought blinds, little did I know that it would require effort on Ricky's part to install them. So this morning at 2 am when Luna woke me up, I turned on the overhead light! Ricky asked me what I was doing at 2 am with the overhead light on. I said I want you to see the moon as I see it! Finally about 30 mintues later I turned it off and turned on my reading light. This is a recessed light directly above my side of the bed, Ricky has one on his side also. He didn't like that either, but he sure wasn't going to complain about it. Check out the lunar esclipe and we will talk about it tomorrow!

American Idol? Where's the talent?

I apparently cannot get my pictures to post. I am watching American Idol and these boys are dorks! Where is the talent? If they don't get better I'm going to bed, this is boring me to sleep. My work is crazy, can any two women get along? I have had two girls quit in two days. Jeff would say if they are mad, then I must be doing my job. I'm glad somebody thinks so. Meri Anne came by to see me today. She came home about 2 pm yesterday. Her sister was driving her over to Hayesville, NC to stay at her friends house so they stopped to see me on the way. She looks fantastic. Meri Anne is already one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. At 57, her skin is flawless, no wrinkles, no lines, just perfection, naturally. She was walking a little slower than normal, but you would never know she had heart surgery one week ago. God is so amazing!

I decided to sell my Corvette. I tried to post the pictures but it won't let me. I put it on craigslist last night and already had several emails today and one guy came over from Gainesville to look at it. I really have fun with the car, but it just sits in the garage. Annie and I wanted to drive it to ballet last week but after sitting for several months, it doesn't have any brakes! Ricky put it right back in the garage. Maybe my brother can find me a nice used Mustang convertible that the kids and I can drive a lot! The vette is only good for two of us. Well the singing hasn't improved so I'm going to bed!

Where did the day go?

My kids were out of school today, but as usual I went to work at 7 am. We did come home a few minutes early and I was able to finish a book I had been reading without anyone bothering me. After church yestereday, my friend Dana and I went to Alpharetta shopping. Belks had the best sale ever! Ricky took the kids to the bow tournament so I got to enjoy myself without Brance or Annie wanting to come home. However, when we went to Value City, I found out there are going out of business. The cashier didn't know why, she said business was bad. We ate at the California Pizza Kitchen, there went my fat grams right down the drain. I got the BLT pizza, wow! Dana ordered something called the works, of course it was full of onions, peppers, sausage, yuck, yuck yuck! It was bad enough I had to look at it, she brought the rest of it home with us. Gross, I had to smell it in my car all day. Mom and I went to Belks in Cumming tonight to see what they had, I spent $75, I saved $350! My computer crashed last night, I lost all of the pictures I had saved. Meri Anne came home from the hospital today! Her sister from Nashville is staying with her for a few days and is going to take her to her friend house in Haysville, NC on Tuesday or Wednesday. She will stay there for a few weeks because Joe will wait on her hand and foot so that she has a great recovery. He invited me to come up and visit her. I'm going to try to make it sometime next week. He lives on Lake Chatouge, I don't know how to spell it. I'm excited to see his home and honored that he would invite me. He is orignally from upstate NY and Meri Anne is from Indiana. They don't really like me, they just like to hear me talk. Its alright though because I use Meri Anne for her senior citizen discount and her handicap parking sticker.

Blah, blah, blah

What a waste of a day! I taught a Frist Aid/CPR class this morning. It is always fun for me to go into a childcare center where I don't work. The things I notice are really bizarre. In our center, Jeff, Darlene's husband, is constantly doing handy man work. He teaches woodworking at the high school so he always wants to fix stuff for us. Not until today did I really appreciate all that he does. If we trash a wall, he repairs it. He spends his entire summer repainting and patching sheetrock. Our center is always clean. My office, or I should say my work area is always gross. Heather tries so hard to clean up around me, but I still make mess. The center today had mold in the potty and spider webs behind the door. Darlene would never let us get away with that. Our walls are neat and clean. The kids centers are clean and well organized. I can't believe I spent my entire training checking out what the center lacked.

As if I didn't have enough excitement after the class I went to Kroger. Two shopping carts and $300 later I came home. Ricky has finished moving dirt for his garage. According to the stakes, its almost as big as my house. Maybe he is thinking about moving out there!

TGIF

I'm glad this week is over, well almost over. I have to teach a First Aid/CPR class in the morning at 8 am, then I want to go to the hospital to see my friend, Meri Anne. I did talk to her on the phone today. She sounded really grumpy. I'm sure I would be also. She is still in ICU, I'm not sure what the visiting hours are I know they begin at 5:30 am - 6 am, but I don't want to go in the hospital in the dark. I don't think Gainesville is so safe with millions of Mexicans running around, most of them receiving free care at the hospital. Darlene said she might ride over with me after lunch. Annie and I got our hair cut today. I'm in this horrible grow out faze and I think my hair looks like a mullet. The girl cut the back really short which I like, now instead of a mullet, I look like Dorothy Hamil. Ricky brought the Bobcat home, I can hear it outside. I'm sure he is digging up something that I wouldn't be very happy about. What is it about a man and a piece of equipment. He wants to build a detached garage so I'm sure that's what he is digging around for. I wanted to put a three car garage on the house when we built and he had a fit, we don't need a three car garage. Now my Corvette sits in the middle of the garage along with all of his archery stuff and his Galaxie is in the basement. The lawn mower, 4-wheelers and motorcycles stay outside under the porch and I have to park outside. I don't like having frost on my windshield everyday. I have to let my Expedition warm up 20 minutes before I leave everyday, then I have to run the air condition on the way home, what's up with that? Well I need to go color my hair, it has been about six weeks and I'm looking a whole lot gray! And I need to see what Ricky is tearing up!

Busy Week

I don't know where my week has gone. My friend, Meri Anne, had successful open heart surgery yesterday. God showed up and showed off! Meri Anne had a small mass removed and was expecting to have a valve replaced. When the surgeon removed the mass, the valve was perfect. He said her heart is in incredible shape. She is recoving as expected. She is in ICU so I can't talk to her yet.

On Tuesday night, Brance asked me when we were going to have "the talk". Yes, I'm still trying to recover. I told him I wasn't ready to talk to him about sex! A while later I told him I would talk to him by the weekend, but I was totally caught off guard and wasn't prepared to talk to him. I picked up a few books at the Christian Family Store yesterday in hopes that it will put me on the right track. I am open to all suggestions. Today is Valentines Day! Brance told me Happy Valentine's Day this morning before he ever got out of the bed. Ricky left a card in my car. Annie, she just wants to know if I got her something!

I have nothing to cook, nor do I have the desire to go out. I really would like to go to sleep! I don't think Ricky and the kids will enjoy Honey Nut Cheerios for dinner.

Almost There

I have been working like crazy since I got home today. I have finally got the dining room clean and in order. I couldn't decide about the china so I am using both of it. I still have a few things to hang on the black wall but Ricky didn't have the right size nail. He did hang the picture above the fireplace that I bought last spring. He had a bow to sell to some guy so he couldn't get the rest my stuff hung up because he wanted to take care of the bow. Hopefully tomorrow night I can get him to do a few more things. I will probably do better just to hire someone to come over and hang my pictures. I'm sure it can be done in less than an hour. Since archery season has started, I won't get anything out of my husband. Brance and Annie are running around like turkeys. I'm not sure what they are doing and I'm not quick enough to catch them but there is a lot of whispering and giggling happening between them. They are suppose to be getting their baths and picking up their rooms but I'm sure that isn't what they are up too. I can hear Beulah running so they are doing something to have her excited. I better go find out!

It Is Finished!

I have finished painting the dining room! YIPPY! Now I have to clean the floor and put everything away. I used one gallon of paint on the black wall. My cabinet looks bare because I took my china out and washed it. Now I can't decide if I should put my Franciscan China back in the cabinet or use the china my mom had in the cabinet when we were little kids. My grandmother bought it with S&H green stamps years ago. I'm not real sure how I ended up with it, maybe nobody knows that I have it. Well at least they didn't until I showed them a picture of it. No Michelle, you are not having it!

It is neat with tiny electric blue flowers that have grey and black stems. It matches the dining room really well. I did see two tea cups that matched it at the Cracker Barrel in Alpharetta but they wouldn't sell them to me. I thought the stuff in those stores was for sale? The manager looked at me like I was fresh from the looney bin. I bet if it was his grandma's china pattern it wouldn't be hanging in the store. Last year or the year before, whenever we had the earthquake, two things in my cabinet broke, what are the chances of it happening again? Well Friday night and last night I saw a shooting star! What are those chances two nights in a row? Maybe an earthquake will happen again. Annie and I did go to church today. We had some visitors that I didn't know and a pretty full church. Now that we are using the balcony, I can't see who is coming in late. You know I hate that. I get there early enough to sit where I want to week after week so I know what is going on around me. Darlene gets on the back row with every child that comes in and feeds them who knows what to keep everyone entertained. We have a nursery and children's church but Darlene is obviously more exciting. Ricky and Brance are at the archery tournament in Dawsonville. They won't be home until late and Brance will be a nightmare to get up in the morning. He requires a lot of sleep, at least 10 hours a night or he will be physically sick throwing up in the morning. He is usually in the bed by 7:30 pm, that's not going to happen tonight.

Girls Night Out!

I find I have been spending more time with my girlfriends lately, and a lot less time with my husband! Ricky and Brance had to set up the archery course today so I took Annie and Heather and her two kids, Alyssa and Jac to Kennesaw to look at a house that I really like the colors off. Since my last visit a few weeks ago, the model home hasn't sold, no wonder it is $750,000. Anyway, they have now added some stencil work to the kitchen and bathroom which will be georgeous in my home if I ever fininsh the dining room! Now that Heather has seen it, she can do it for me. She is really good at that kind of stuff and she enjoys doing it. Whatever painters make for a living is not enough. I hope that don't realize that before I can hire someone to come back in to paint all of my trim that I just don't want to paint.

After our trip to Cracker Barrel in Canton and the open house in Kennesaw, I met five other friends from my church (Darlene, her daughter Elizabeth, Barbara, Kaye, and Cami) and we went to see Chonda Pierce in Gainesville. If you haven't heard of her, she is a Christian Comedian, known as the Queen of Clean. She is so funny! She also battles clinical depression and talks a lot about it. I have several of her cds but she now has a book out about depression. I do not comprehend depression because I don't have it. I know several people and have some family members that struggle with this all the time. I am going to read her book and hope that I can understand this illness a little better. I think its great that she is blessed to share her personal story with others. If you get the chance to see her, make sure you do.

Blogging SUCKS!

I've decided I don't like this blog crap! I obviously have a pretty boring life other than the excitement at my work. Brance and Annie are not involved in any activities right now so we come home from school/work and argue like a bunch of freaks! Ricky gets home early but stays outside until dark. I'm sure its so that he doesn't have to deal with us. I have finally finished the black wall in my dining room. I have used one gallon of paint on the same wall. I got the china cabinet and table moved over so I sincerely hope to finish tomorrow evening.

I have been grumpy since the flood at work this week. More often than not, I find myself babysitting a lot of adult women instead of children. How many times a day can the same person walk into the office and ask me a question not related to her job! I began keeping tally marks by some of their names today. While writing tally marks I came up with some great ideas!

I figured out how to add pictures to my blog, I just don't have any!

Valentine Church Dinner

Our church had a nice Valentine Dinner tonight at the Oar House. We had a great turn out. Ricky and I took our friends Matt and Lynn. Cricket, my mom, stayed with Brance, ANnie and Susannah. When I came home they were watching Talledaga Nights. If you have seen it, its not appropriate for Brance and Annie to watch. They can talk Cricket into anything. Darlene will probably have a fit that Susannah watched any of it. She's more "sheltered" than my kids will ever be. I have a few pictures but I'm not sure how to get them in line with this post. I'm going to work on it for a minute, then I'm going to bed!

Oh What A DAY!

What a yucky day. It was raining like crazy this morning. At the preschool, we unload children from their cars from 7:30 am - 8:15 am. Their nasty cars are an entire story for another day, but you get the idea. I am outside in the rain with the nasty cars. They smell bad enough without adding the rainy weather to it, GROSS! My printer/fax stopped working on Friday. I hoped it would just start working again but it didn't. I went to Darlene's house to print off the things I needed. In the two minutes that I was gone, Ms. Sara (she's 72, and Cuban with a very strong accent) set the sprinker system off in the kitchen. Apparently the sprinkler valve has a tag that was stuck in the grill on the back of the freezer. She moved the freezer to mop, Lord only knows why, she hasn't done it for 10 years but she just had to mop behind it today. You would not believe how much water came out of that thing, in the few seconds it took to get the valve closed. The cabinets and drawers had at least two inches of water in them. Sara already had lunch prepared sitting on the cabinet and it all got soaked. I thought she was going to have a heart attack. I called Dominos Pizza and started throwing stuff away. I called our pastor to come help. Darlene actually enjoyed this misfortunate opportunity to clean Ms. Sara's kitchen. We are all a little afraid of her. Darlene sent her home to bathe and began pulling stuff out of the cabinets and getting rid of it. When TR, our pastor, showed up he had this chrome platted shop vac that would make any man jealous, I really liked it myself, chrome and big tires. He sucked all that water up in no time. So the heck with painting tonight, Wildfire comes on at 8 pm on ABC family so I'm going to eat and take a long, hot bath!

Super Bowl Sunday

I am waiting for the game to start, we don't really care about the game, we just like the commercials and the half time show. Brance can't wait to see Tom Petty. He knows all this 80's music. Sadly he doesn't realize it's 20 years old. After church, I took Brance and Annie to meet Daddy and Margarett for lunch in Alpharetta. They left after we ate so they could stop at Lenox. I took the kids to the mall and Target. Brance and Annie are so easy to entertain. Ricky is finally on his way home. I forgot to take my camera. I'm still taking baby steps and my camera is one thing that I can't remember to take along. I am committing to finish my dining room this week. Heather, my co-worker, and sweet friend said she would come clean my house and get my things organized. What am I waiting on?

Saturday Shopping

This morning three of my friends, Darlene, Meri Anne, Dana and I went to Pigeon Forge to shop. I got this really great deal on tote bags last week so I thought I needed to go back and get more. They held 29 for me. I figured once I drove three hours there and three hours back in Darlene's Escalade, the bags weren't such a great deal afterall! Those of you that know me well, know that I look for any reason to go to Pigeon Forge. I told the kids where I was going, but I didn't offer to share the destination with Ricky before he left for Florida, he just thought I was going to shop with my friends. Unfortunately after going to Pigeon Forge in October with Darlene and our girls, the first weekend that we returned from Disney, then a trip in December with Missy and no children, last weekend with Ricly and the children, and Saturday, I'm now on Pigeon Forge restriction. First IKEA restriction and now Pigeon Forge, Vegas here I come! We did have an incredible time. Meri Anne is set for open heart surgery next week and Dana is coming along fine after a very shocking and upsetting divorce. We needed a girls day.

It's Friday!

As usual, my husband has left me again for a group of guys! He has gone to an ASA tournament in Florida. YIPPY! I can shop all day tomorrow. I have convinced Michelle to try to blog life with me. We are the blind leading the blind. My friend Nicole makes it look so easy, what was I thinking! I don't have the patience for this when I could be reading a book. Brance and Annie call me a nerd all the time, now they can add geek to their list. I'm sure there is a way to add pictures for my friends and family to see Brance and Annie but who knows how that works! Baby steps for me and maybe soon I'll have the picture thing figured out.
