The week goes by quick when your busy. Monday Annie and I went to bed about 7 pm, we were really sleepy. As most of you know I don't require much sleep but after a few weeks of three or four hours here and there I have to catch up. One 7 pm night usually does the trick. Last night we had church softball. We were HOT! We beat Dahlonega Baptist 20-5! They have beat us twice already so it was nice to get the win. All of our player were really just hitting the ball and catching the ball without errors. It was a lot of fun. It rained before the game so the field was muddy, a few of the player attempted to slide but came up a few feet short of the base and need crawl the few feet they missed.
I took my mom for eye lid surgery today. I won't post her picture because she would die! Annie went home with her to take care of her until Sunday. Annie is so sweet when she wants to be. Mom did really good, we got a Krystal after the surgery and I got her some potato soup from O'Charleys for dinner tonight. That is easy for Annie to warm up for them.
Brance and I are watching 100 teen stars, those cute boys from the 80's are really fat and ugly now. They would probably say the same about me. Ha-Ha!
I'm reading a really good book Shannon gave me today by Lisa Gardner, its actually set in North Georgia and a lot of it in Dahlonega, how cool is that? I went by the book exchange today on the way to Gainesville and loaded up on books. I'm good for a few weeks.
I need to call and check on mom.

I am TIRED!
What a week, I'll try to do a quick run down. Saturday I grocery shopped and cooked dinner. Sunday church, we layed around the house, who can afford to go anywhere. Heather was on vacation this week so I planned to work a few hours Monday and Tuesday because I knew I would work all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I left work and came home about 12 on Monday, I had been home long enough to change my clothes when Heather called to tell me our centers state license consultant was on her way. Another center called to tell me she was in my area. We childcare centers do that for one another. Anyway, I went back fort the rest of the day. Our visit was great. We also had softball practice. We finally got in the bed about 9 pm, when a friend of Ricky's called about my truck for sale. We had to get back up to show him the truck and he drove it home.
Tuesday, I planned to come home early again. Darlene's son-in-law and the middle daughters boyfriend showed up to put all the new pre-k furniture together. Of course I stayed to rearrange other furniture to make room for the new stuff.
Wednesday I went in early for a bus meeting that was canceled and Heather left for vacation.
Thursday was a busy day, plus we had a softball game last night. After the game we went to Jaime's house to pick up the tv and the handgun.
Today was the most exciting of all. A two year old pulled the fire pull station in the classroom. He pulled it so had it broke off. I got the alarm silenced and called the fire department to cancel the fire call. Once I got the system reset and half way back in order, I called the fire dept back to explain. Darlene's son-in-law is a firefighter so he responded to the call. Would you believe he wrote us up for a false alarm? They dispatched someone three minutes after I called them and requested them not to respond. Once I started reading thorough the false alarm warning, it said the call went in at 11:07 am, they didn't dispatch someone until 11:15 am. That is seven minutes, they should have already been at our center in that time frame. What if there would have been an emergency? I called the fire chief, who also goes to my church, and we went home early today sick. I will call him back on Monday.
Ricky is working in Cumming today so he isn't home yet. I am so sleepy I can't keep my eyes open. I almost forgot, I did go to the doctor on Monday about my arm. Of course it is carpal tunnel syndrome. She gave me this splint to wear at night that would fit a 500 pound man. It is way too big for me. I asked for a pediatric split but they didn't have one. The way too big split hurts my arm worse than when I don't wear it. My doctor is referring me to an orthopedic doctor to get it fixed. My favorite plastic surgeon Dr. Leake can correct carpal tunnel syndrome. Perhaps he can correct a few other things, too.
I'm not sure all my words are spelled right or if my sentences make sense, but I'm going to bed...

Is it Friday yet?
After church yesterday, Heather and I took Annie and Alyssa to see Kit Kittredge, An American Girl. It was the best of the American Girl movies. Kit's daddy is a new car dealer and looses his dealership during the Depression. That hit a little too close to home, but they overcome it in the end. Our music at church was incredible. I didn't even call LaDawn and brag on her husband. Our music is always great, sometimes Jeff sings a little "rockin" contemporary song and he is really with it. He is always good, but he is untouchable with rockin' music!
Brance and Dillon went to baseball camp today at the college. They checked in at 8:30 am and get picked up at 4 pm on Thursday. I asked Brance if he was excited and he said he was so pumped he couldn't even sit in his seat. I hope he can survive the next three nights. They are staying in military housing. If my parents would have made me live in a dorm at college I would have been so depressed I would have killed myself. Two bunk beds, two desk, two dressers and two closet areas. It did have two windows and air conditioning but the walls are cement blocks. There were six pottys and six separate showers. Brance was concerned with showering in front of those boys. There are only 15 kids in the camp, they all appear to be about the same size as Brance and Dillon. He just called to tell me about some fat girl that weighed 300 pounds doing a belly flop off the diving board in the college pool. He also said he has a head ache and was going to take a Motrin and go to bed. That means he is very sleepy and doesn't want to admit it to anyone.
Brance is gone and we have the home run derby on both tvs, upstairs and downstairs. We are sad individuals. We aren't really sure what we did before children. Ricky had softball practice tonight. I came home before he did and cooked fried squash for him. It looks gross but it sure taste good. Wes dropped Ricky off so I sent most of it home with him and Heather. She didn't share her apple pie with him so he said he wasn't going to share the squash with her.
I need to go shower the just off the 3rd shirt at Waffle House as Master Grill Operator off my clothes. I think I have offended Beulah with my greasy smell.

260 pounds of trash
That's right, 260 pounds of trash that I hauled to the dump this morning. It wasn't kitchen garbage, it was broken toys, broken appliances, things that don't work that we cannot part with. I started at 6:45 am hauling junk outside to Ricky's truck. Finally at 8 am he came out and loaded the truck for me. He got home a little after 2 am from work. He said he liked the third shift, it wasn't hot, there wasn't any traffic and only a hand full of workers. His brother went with him also. When I got to the dump, actually it's called the transfer station now, I weighed the truck on the scale before and after "transferring" my trash. Can you believe I had 260 pounds worth? You can't really tell I took anything from the house either.
Ricky went to a bow tournament in Blue Ridge with some of his friends. The kids and I took his truck to be serviced and washed. I took a bag of my books to the Hall Book Exchange. I got a $50 credit for them. I also took another bag with some of my mom's and she got a $30 credit. That was worth the trip to Gainesville.
I want to try to take a nap before Ricky gets home. I didn't go to sleep until after 2 am when he came in, then I was up about 6 am to let Beulah out.

I'm missing Mickey Mouse!
This is the first time in three years that I haven't had a Disney trip planned and I am very sad about it. I miss Mickey and all his friends, the fun rides but mostly I miss the incredible food I always eat. I can't change my main picture because it has such great memories with it. I sure wish all the kids (Michelle, Michael, Eric, Marc and myself) could agree to meet for a Grand Gathering! How much fun would that be. We could do our own thing most of the day and get together as a group for a few meals. I do send emails to them with my bright ideas but they don't respond.
It's Friday, Ricky went almost all the way to Perry to get Annie. When he talked to her she told him she wanted him to come to the dealership to pick her up. I called Daddy and asked him to meet Ricky so he did. However, it was only about 30 minutes north of Perry. 30 minutes is an hour when you are going both directions. Ricky has to go to work tonight at 10 pm. YUCK! They are doing water lines at the college and couldn't shut down the campus until 10 pm. I'm sure he will be there until sometime tomorrow. Right now he is asleep in the recliner.
Brance and Annie are laughing and giggling. They have really missed one another. In another hour they will be fighting. I bought the movie Nancy Drew for our Friday night, family night movie. I used to read Nancy Drew books at my Aunt Judy's house. I think I've said before that Annie makes us have a family night every Friday. She doesn't know about the movie yet. Heather and I are going to take Annie and Heather's daughter Alyssa to see Kit Kittridge on Sunday after church. It would be really nice if we could get a reservation at the American Girl Bistro before the movie. Alyssa will be five in September and is just getting into American Girl. Annie has always liked it because of Susannah and Elizabeth.
I need to head back downstairs and attempt to cook the family dinner.

Ladies Night Out!
We had a really nice time, only nine of us went. It rained a monsoon while we were eating and the power blinked a few times. The liquor was flowing pretty freely among the group and I thought the lights blinking could have been a direct sign from God. Luckily I was enjoying my glass of ice water! I told the waitress this was a church group and we weren't even Catholic. She was sure I was being serious. However this trip a few girls went that haven't joined us before and that was great. They are a lot of fun to talk too.
It has rained for the last two night. I cannot sleep when it is raining outside. I'm not nervous or afraid, I can't stand the noise. Heather coached our softball team to our second victory. We have a game tonight at 8 pm. Maybe it will rain us out. I have to get my kitchen cleaned and some color on my hair. A visit to the tanning bed wouldn't hurt. Although I'm positive once I get the kitchen cleaned I won't have the energy to do anything else. I need to clean the pantry out also. Annie would love to do it but she is still in Perry. She called yesterday to tell me I could come get her on Friday. She wants me to drive all the way to Perry. I told her to talk to her grandaddy because he said he would meet me somewhere to keep me from driving all the way. This makes my trip about 2 1/2 or 3 hours instead of six. Ricky is off tomorrow day and is going to work at 11 pm. They are doing some kind of "lines", water, sewer, something so they have to shut the entire square off (downtown Dahlonega). He will most likely work all night. I think they have to be finished to open the square back up for Saturday business. He has done this once before in Dahlonega. I don't like it when he works all night. He said he might would meet my dad to get Annie.
If you've noticed the time, I'm at work. My sister fusses at me for not updating. When I get home I don't really have time. The last two nights it has been storming. Michelle also fusses for not updating my pictures. I am working on that. I forget to take my camera with me when I do things. Michelle said on her blog that there aren't many pictures of her and Brian. I don't have any of Ricky and I either. If someone takes one of us he feels the need to make a face or stick his tongue out. Why can't he act like an adult?
I better get to work before on of my coworkers sees what I doing and tells on me...

Do you see any rats?
Just when you think your winning the rat race along comes faster rats, I think I'm ahead for one minute! I'm a little grumpy this week. Annie is still in Perry, we went to church on Sunday and afterwards the boys went to the bow tournament. I was in a really bizarre mood on Sunday so I had my oil changed and my car cleaned only to drive home from Gainesville in the pouring rain. When I got home I made a chocolate cake from a box, yuck! Then I made two apple pies. Homemade my grandma's recipe! WOW! One for us and one for Heather. It was actually a peace offering since she has to work with me everyday. She ate the entire thing by herself yesterday and today. I also cooked dinner last night, a real meal from scratch, nothing from Schwann's!
My church is having ladies night tonight at the Melting Pot in Roswell. I can't wait! There are only nine of us going so I'm a little disappointed. Ricky has a game at 7 pm and I gave the coaching responsibility to Heather, after all I gave her the pie already! We made a line up and positioned the players that we know are going to be there. Brance will help her once they get to the ball field.
I can hear it thundering so I better get off the computer. If you can hear thunder, you can be struck by lightening!

So I'm A SLACKER!
I'm really not a slacker, I just have a full time job. Then when I get off I have a million things to do to get ready for the next day. We've had a busy but fun week. Monday was church ball practice. I stayed home to do laundry. Tuesday we had the early game at 7 pm. I have recently watched the Bad News Bears, the new one with Billy Bob Thornton, so I feel like I could do as well as Buttermaker. I offered to coach the church team but nobody asked me. Then on Tuesday, my friend Aunt Gayle called, her husband Shannon is the coach, to tell me that Shannon couldn't make the game and wanted to know if Ricky would take care of it. Ricky take care of it nothing, I will do it. We got to the ball field early and I told everyone I was the new coach for the night. They looked at me like I was crazy. I had so much fun! We actually won! The only game we have won! Our next game was Thursday night and lucky me, Shannon couldn't make it to that game either! We did loose, but we had a lot of fun. We had a lot of players show up so I had to rotate them out after 30 minutes of playing time. Most of them are fine with it, but there is always a few that want to cry about it. SUCK IT UP! One of the boys brought me a nice computer printed sheet to use. It looks like the ball field with two lines by each position. This made me feel really important because it looked really professional.
We didn't work on Friday but went to grandmas to meet Michelle. She took Annie home with her for a few days. Ricky, Brance and I went to Rec Warehouse and Anna's Linens before coming home. Brance spent the night with my momma. I think last night was the first night Ricky and I have been alone at night in more than a year. Don't worry, I went to bed about 9 pm and Ricky stayed up to watch the race. I have no idea what time he got in bed.
I got up early and started painting the back hallway. I am finished! It looks great! I'm not sure where my camera is so I can't show you a picture. Maybe one day soon though. I had a little afternoon nap, I still haven't had a shower. I wanted to wash my sheets before tonight night I'm quickly running out of time if I want to get my quilt dried in order to use it tonight. Beulah has come upstairs with me so she must want to go outside. \
That's all for now...
