A little of each

Annie's All Star tournament, Brance's group leaving for church camp, Brance and Annie at the Gwinnett Braves game on Annie's birthday. We have had a long weekend. Annie had a game in Blue Ridge Friday night, then two there on Saturday. We took Annie to the G Braves game on Wednesday night for her birthday. Yesterday Brance left after church for an entire week of camp. Today I had a lot of work to do and I depend on Heather to help me and she is at camp all week also so I'm kinda stuck! Jaime stayed to help me for a little while, then Anita is closing all week for Heather so I left her with a stack of stuff to go through. She came over after work to tan and told me she would come over on Sunday and help me clean my house. She the kind of friend everyone needs. I am very lonesome without Brance. I'm not lonesome when he goes to Perry or even we they went to PCB with my mom but this camp thing has really caught me off guard. Its his first time totally away from his blood family. Susannah is on the trip with him and he is closer to her than his cousins so hopefully that will help him. He is staying in the room with two college guys and Amy's fiance' that has already graduated college. I'm sure they are taking really good care of him and he is feeling really adult like. Our pastors wife called today and said Brance was getting a lot of female attention. I'm anxious to see what he has to say about it. His cousin Dillon will be sad he missed the trip. This is the first week of summer that we haven't had an obligation. I may find myself getting in the bed very early.
I took Annie to get her ears pierced today. I tried really hard to talk her out of it but that's what she wanted for her birthday so why not, she is 10 years old.
I just realized I am missing Shepard Smith, that's all folks.

What a day to remember...

Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, wow. I can remember my brother being Farah for Halloween when we were kids, he wore Michelle's cheer leading dress, a blonde wig and carried a tennis racket, those were such fun times.

We took Annie to the G Braves game last night for her birthday, I will download pictures sometime on my blog. She will start her All Star tournament tomorrow night in Blue Ridge. Anita is going to come to the house and sit with Beulah so she doesn't have to stay in her crate all day and all night. I still have to sew her Dizzy Dean patch on her jersey.

The weird thing about all this tv hoopla on Michael Jackson is that this is exactly what I remember about Elvis Presley. Lots of people crying, lots of media talking and not really understanding what the big deal was about. Twenty years from now my kids will now what this is all about.

I am more than halfway through my Finger Lickin' 15 book. Brance is spending the night at mom's house and Ricky and Annie are gone to ball practice. I put my sheets in the washer so as soon as I can stick them in the dryer I am getting in the bath tub so when I put my clean sheets on the bed I can read the rest of my book. Sounds like a good plan don't you think?

I have the greatest sister in the World!

My sister finally took the hint that my blog needed changing.

The only thing that bothers me is she lost all my side pictures. The good thing is it will force me to take pictures and add them all along like Michelle does.

That picture of Ricky and I is from daddys at Christmas. He really is handsome isn't he! Michelle and I also figured out if we take a picture up close it makes us look smaller!

Michelle has this thing about choosing her friends. She says she chooses them by being large and white. That makes her look smaller and darker. She does have a point.

I have had a stressful day at the beauty shop all day! I am too tired to tell the story. I will take a picture and tell you tomorrow.

Thank Michelle for updating for me. I love you.

My blog is boring!

I keep hoping that one day when I check out my blog that my sister has magically redone it! She is really good at changing hers and I can't get the hang of it. She knows what backgrounds I would like and I have seen several Mickey Mouse and Tinkerbell ones, they just haven't appeared on my page yet.

My head hurts so bad. Two weeks ago I was very fragile in that I could have cried if you looked at me wrong. Now for the second day in a row my head is killing me. I'm sure its a hormone related issue that I refuse to take medication for. I'm 37 so I expect this to be over with in just a few short years. Maybe 40 is something to look forward to.

I haven't really been sad about selling my car. I drove Ricky's Excursion today, it drives like a tank and I like it as long as I don't have to drive it everyday. It needs some minor work done on it and you know he isn't going to take the time to fix it. I left it at the tire shop today to get the tires balanced, it makes me sick to drive it anywhere. The windshield is cracked all the way across so I ordered a new windshield for it to be replaced on Friday. Now it needs brakes and it has a popping sound in the front end that I will get fixed next week if Craig is in town to get it taken care of. Craig is a preschool parent and the best mechanic in the world! He's honest, cheap, and can fix anything! I plan to drive it to Disney in September and it has to be running smooth or it will make my 16 hours on the road really bad.

This is Annie's last week of ball practice! Thank the Lord! Her tournament is this weekend and sometime I have to Brance ready for church camp on Sunday for the next week. Please pray for Brance that he can make it. He gets really lonesome for Ricky when he is away from him. Amy's fiance is going, Susannah is going and Heather that I work with so he will have plenty of people to take care of him, its just being away from Ricky for 5 night will be hard. He is going to CentiFuge. I have heard it is a life changing experience. Brance and Annie are both saved I just want them to have the desire to live their lives for Jesus, and make the right choices.

Annie will leave for camp the following week for Toccoa Falls College, I don't worry about her at all she is a Morris and will go anywhere with anybody at anytime.

Now Beulah and I have the house to ourselves! How exciting is that? If my air was working I could enjoy a nice hot bath but not until Wednesday when the air is fixed. Would you believe the air at the preschool went out today? I am so nice that instead of Jeremy fixing mine tomorrow he is going to take care of the preschool and do mine on Wednesday. Jeff went to Kansas City this morning so I'm having some trees taken down tomorrow while he is gone. He hates it when I spend money to do things that he thinks he can do for free.

I'm going to Sabrina's tomorrow to get my hair done. I haven't had blond in close to seven years so I think its time. I'm also buying myself a new sports car! Can you say mid life crisis? I'm not really I just think its time to look young and hip not like a frumpy old married woman. I refuse to straighten my hair everyday so at least I can style it curly so it looks good.

Well enough about me!

Where did the week go?

I can't believe its Sunday already and I'm not sure what happened to my week. Annie has had practice every night this week so Ricky has been taking her and I've got to stay at home. Brance came home from Perry on Friday, I met Michelle at IKEA to pick him up. That was Michelle's first IKEA experience and she loved it! After IKEA we went to Atlantic Station for a little while. I actually got to Atlantic Station earlier on Friday than I planned so I parked and walked around by myself. I feel safer there than I do at the mall.

Our downstairs air conditioner went out. I hope to have to fixed tomorrow. We have turned the upstairs unit on 65 so it keeps the downstairs about 75. We like it on 66 or 67. We still haven't sold Ricky's truck so we decided on Friday to sell my Expedition and trade the truck for something else. Yesterday morning I listed my car on craigslist before I took the kids swimming and forgot to take my cell phone. When we got home a guy had left several messages and finally drove up last night and bought it. I am excited I sold it but it really happened to fast for me to think about it. I have really enjoyed that car. Hopefully I can find something this week. I can drive Rickys Excursion to work or the Galaxie if it isn't raining.

The work week has begun...

Wow, what a weekend. If the birthday parties weren't enough we finished last night with a group tennis match. I was a little grumpy yesterday so I didn't play well. I got beat both times! While the four of us girls played our husbands kept score and kept us supplied with balls. Once we finished our husbands played for a while. I think they actually played longer than the girls did. I don't think Ricky has picked up a racket until last night. He really enjoyed himself though. We met in town today for lunch. I can't remember the last time we met for lunch during the week. I was in town going to the bank so it just worked out.

Brance went to Perry yesterday. The kids and I met Wayne and Margarett in Alpharetta for lunch and Brance went home with them. We took the DCD kids to VBS at the baptist church in town today. After church Annie went with her previous teacher, Ms. Kenney, for a day of swimming at the momma's house. Ms. Kenney has twins going into second grade so I'm sure Annie is a great baby sitter for her. They still aren't home yet. Annie has softball tonight at 7 pm and won't have a nap first. She will never make it. I hope to grocery shop while Ricky takes her to practice.

My Birthday Parties Have Ended!

I had the best birthday since I turned eight and got the pink Huffy bicycle! Last night we met at Dana Dane's and went to eat at Texas Roadhouse in Gainesville. There were 10 of us to ride and Starla, living in G-ville, just met us there. Ricky offered the Excursion and I took it. Although we only had eight seatbelts we packed our skinny little selves in so tight we would have moved it we wrecked. Then two of my riders rode back with Starla. Lets see if I can name all my friends that went; Dana, Heather, Robin, Maria, Stacy, Starla, Anita, Regina, LaDawn and Amy. A few girls stayed the night at Dana's but I came home about 1:30 pm. We watched Smokey and the Bandit about midnight. Sadly Starla, Heather and Amy are too young to know about the Snowman and the Bandit.

Today I met Sabrina, Cynthia and Darra in Canton for lunch. We have not seen one another in at least 20 years. It was just like middle school with all of us talking at once. The waitress took a few pictues of us with each of our four cameras. I think she was glad to see us leave. Sabrina is a hairdresser in Cartersville. She has big natural curly hair just like me. I really liked her blond highlights. I am going to make an appointment with her and drive over to let her color my hair so that it looks like hers. Its hard for me to tell someone what color I want it without actually seeing it on someone. I haven't been blond in at least seven years. The time has come for a little bleach. I sure have a lot of gray I need to cover up.

Ricky and I took both Galaxies to the cruise in, in Dawsonville tonight. He hurt my feelings so I came home and he and Annie went to Long Horns with a large group of people including his brother and sister. I sure wish I could have dinner with my brother and sister! I know that I have never had depression issues but when I'm with Ricky and his siblings for any length of time it really makes me long to be with my own.

I have a couple of minutes before I get caught...

How nice that Brance and Annie are both asleep and I have hid in the bonus room to blog! We have a long week with softball, VBS and tennis. Heather needs to be at church before 6 pm and feed her kids so I come home around 1 pm and go back at 5 pm, this allows my kids a chance to take a nap. Beulah loves that someone is home she can sleep with. I didn't take a nap today I did some laundry, got in the tanning bed for the first time in two weeks and researched my project for a little while on line. I didn't sleep in the tanning bed either! I haven't cooked any supper this week and I don't plan too! Ricky and the kids ate canned chili (YUCK!) last night with chips. I like to cook chili in the winter time, Brance would eat chili and cheese with corn chips everyday so I bought some from Van de Camps with beans and eats it all the time. My friends and I are going out to eat Friday for my birthday party so I will eat really good then. Then on Saturday I'm meeting some girls that I went to middle school to eat lunch for my other birthday party so I'll get two really great meals this weekend! If you work with children you understand the whole birthday party thing, if you don't its real simple, all girls about three years old and older plan for their birthday party all year. When you don't do something your friend likes she tells you that you cannot come to her birthday party. If you happen to have a snack your friend wants she will tell you that if you share the snack you can come to my birthday party. Got it? So the last few weeks I have been telling my work friends that they can come to my birthday party. So we have decided to have my birthday party in Gainesville then go back to someones house that has a pool so not only am I cool enough to have a birthday party for the first time since I was maybe 10, I'm having two birthday parties, one Friday and one Saturday and we are sleeping at a friends house that has a pool! I'm having a slumber pool party! YIPPY! I haven't shared the good news with my husband yet.

I think my time is about up now that I've really only talked about myself.

Is the Summer over yet?

I really like my schedule the best the 10 months my kids are in school. I am just happy with my everyday routine and I don't deal well when it differs. I worked a few hours this morning before taking off to grandma's house with mom and Annie to meet Michelle and James Brian. Grandma and Michelle went to look at bunk beds for JB, Grandma said I couldn't go with them because I needed to go get gas in her car. Michelle offered to just drive her car and get gas while they were out and Grandma said no, Melissa always get gas. For the first time she was actually down to half of a tank. I'm not sure how my Papa managed to spoil her like he did. After that event Michelle and mom took the two kids to the Big Shanty Museum to look at the train so I just hung out with gma. Of course she sucked me into cleaning the top of the closet for her. This is her new thing she will ask me to get the chair and look for something in the top of her closet. It involves taking everything down and refolding it before I can put it back up and of course whatever she is "looking for" isn't there. Now that I have cleaned out all three bedroom closets I'm not sure what she will come up with the next time. Today she was looking for something that just happened to be in her purse. I have to admit I have fallen for it three times now. We did get her to go to Bugaboo Creek for dinner. I did get to play in her jewelry box and she let me take two pins/broaches home with me so that Heather can make a braclet out of it for me. She also let me borrow a funky pink pearl necklace she has.

Tomorrow we have to be at church at 10 am for a car wash so the campers, Brance and Annie can earn money to assist with church camp. If anyone wants to donate any money, please let me know. Brance's camp in $304 and Annie's camp is $257. We have several kids that do not have funding that need to go. Sunday is the first night of bible school. Ricky and Brance are going to see the Gwinett Braves after church then meeting daddy for Brance to go to Perry for a few days. We have VBS all week and Annie has All Star practice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7-9 pm. Ricky's birthday is Thursday and mine is Friday. I do have a tennis match one day this week, if I don't die from a heat stroke first. I got so hot playing tennis on Wednesday that I was pretty sure I was having a heat stroke. According to Google, I was suffering from heat exhaustion. I guess I need to start drinking water at daylight on the days I plan to play tennis in the heat.

Annie is asleep on the loveseat while Brance, Ricky, Beulah and I are all sitting on the sofa with Beulah taking up the most space. I am still wearing my necklace from grandma's house. I think I'll go to bed myself. Last night when I went to bed Ricky was in the bed with me, when I woke up this morning, Annie was in the bed with me and Ricky was asleep on the sofa.

Wednesday Morning

I'm already at work and not sure where to start my day. Sometimes I get overwhelmed and need to walk away for a little while. I would get a lot more accomplished if I would come to work tonight for a few hours when nobody is here. I have a lot of end of the month paperwork to do.

Summer camp started Monday for DCD, we had kids show up that we didn't expect so most of the day I talked to new parents and enrolled new children, then you have to change your billing, blah, blah, blah, then Brance and Annie are in and out complaining about something. I do not enjoy this at all.

Annie's All Star practice will begin on Friday this week. She will practice four nights each week for two hours 7-9 pm. YUCK! My tennis league started this week and I haven't had time to play yet. Church softball started last night, we didn't win although we played very good.

Now its about time to open the center so I need to get to work. Hopefully I will be able to tell more later.
