Gobble to you Wobble...

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankfully for a lot of things. First that I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! Second I am truly blessed with a wonderful husband and third Annie isn't a twin!

Annie and I started the day with a Turkey Trot in Canton. We went to do the 1k, which was a one mile once we got there, that's okay we can handle it. Also the ad for the run said it was a long sleeve shirt and it wasn't! I complained but it didn't do any good. It was so cold Annie got upset because she couldn't control her breathing. The cold air in my lungs was miserable so I know she was miserable and our feet and hands were numb. Not much fun at all. After we were finished I realized that my car key had fallen out. I took my key off the ring and left everything else in the car. I walked around the track again looking for my key and couldn't find it. I borrowed someones cell phone to call my mom and beg her to go to my house and get the second key. I finally decided to walk back to the registration desk in hopes of getting out of the cold when the man working the clock told me someone had turned my key in! Thank you Jesus. I am very proud of myself that I didn't get mad or upset for losing the key. Annie was sweet and said its okay momma if you need to say ugly words. I didn't. I did say, okay Lord I'm listening. Then I had to explain to Annie the story of Jonah and if he would have just listened to God he wouldn't have ended up in the whale. Anytime I get held up for some unknown reason, I immediately tell God He has my attention. Last year on my way to the elementary school in the bus for pick up, there was a car wreck that closed the road and I had to drive all the way to Dawsonville and back around to get to the school. Once I turned the bus around I said okay Lord, I'm listening. I had another employee riding the bus with me and she just laughed at me.

After the race, we went to KMart, my favorite store, got gas and then to my Aunt Peggy's. Michelle and I went with our cousin Keith to Walgreens and I got a few gifts for my little nephews!

Annie rode home with mom and I went to Old Navy. I love shopping on Thanksgiving Day. While I was in Old Navy, I saw a neighbor from my street in Woodstock. She gave me her email so I can get in touch with a few of the boys we played with as kids. Annie has just got home and isn't far from going to sleep. We both were awake about 5 am. Regardless when I go to sleep I always wake up around 5 am. I just wish I had the desire to exercise that early.

Its cold tonight. I actually put my heat on 65 degrees, you know I keep it on 62 degrees. That's a big deal for me.

Well there really isn't any reason to rattle on any longer. For the third night, Annie and I are piled on the sofa watching movies like a bunch of lazy bums! I love it!

I like the Thanksgiving background...

Michelle is the one that changes the background and the photos for me. This photo is from Christmas last year at daddy's house. I need to update the picture now that my hair is blonde and a little longer. Ricky well his hair is just a little more gray.

Annie and I are doing a little turkey trot on Thursday morning. She really enjoys running and did her mile at school in 7.57 minutes. She has been asking me to do a 5k and we haven't found one close enough for me to take her. There is a 1k/5k in Canton on Thursday so I signed up us. She is sprint her 1k and leave me and I'll just trot along many minutes behind her. She is old enough that I trust her to cross the finish line and wait for me. I am anxious to see her time. Many days she and I walk over to Bubba's and back, its exactly one mile. She runs, I walk. Since we signed up for this run she has been on the treadmill several times each day and wakes up asking me how long and how far I ran. I am so sick of Annie the treadmill natzi, bothering me about running that I don't think I'll sign her up for anything else. She went to sleep on the sofa about 4 pm and I'm just watching her sleep. I love her like this. Beulah is piled up on her sleeping too.

After our run on Thursday we will eat a really good breakfast. You know I like to eat. We'll do our annual KMart Thanksgiving Day shopping, then head to my Aunt Peggy's house for lunch. We can shower once we get there. Annie suggested we don't shower all day. Just wear our running clothes and pull our hair up and not worry about a bath. Almost sounds good to me. I'm afraid I would be embarressed to be seen like that, although after we eat and go to KMart who's left to see. After Peggys we are coming back home.

While Annie continues to sleep I am sitting here playing on the computer not doing anything in my house. I did cook supper last night and I made good homemade mac and cheese, of course I made enough I can eat it everyday for the rest of the week, twice a day. We have been watching Christmas movies on ABC Family and I don't think there is a good movie coming on tonight. Instead we will watch Dancing with the Stars. I love Donny Osmond.

Just call me Ms. Save-A-Penny...

I have started cutting coupons, not just in Sunday's paper but online also. Today was my first big trip for triple coupons at my local Food Lion. I have coupons for Kroger also so I'll stop by there on Thursday. Anyway, I saved more than $25.00! YIPPY! At that rate I can buy Christmas gifts for my children. I got really excited when the cashier started scanning my coupons and the machine made a noise much like a slot machine. Well those of you that know my sister and I know that the ching ching ching of a slot machine is one of our favorite sounds. I can't wait to grocery shop again. Listening to the ching ching ching will have me shopping every week.

We are skipping church tonight! Ricky took both kids hunting with him, yes it makes me very nervous but Ricky is very cautious and aware of the kids and their guns. Although I always breath easier once they get back home.

Ricky and I both stayed awake past 9 pm last night, the first time since the time changed. Normally it doesn't bother me but this year its kicked my butt. I think when it gets dark outside I need to go to bed.

Well I have two more nights in the bed with my husband before I go to grandma's. This week I'm going to make her go to Hobby Lobby before we go to her house. She can push the buggy or stay in the car I just to go in for a few minutes to get some Christmas fabric.

The CMA's are on tonight, does that mean that Modern Family isn't?

Another Friday night at Grandma's...

So I've spent the third Friday night in row at Grandma's house. Ricky is so sweet to stay home with both kids and not complain. I would complain if I were home with both kids! Grandma was really funny last night. I offered to take her to Bugaboo Creek or Steak and Shake. I told her we could call ahead and take it home or eat there. She decided she wanted Kentucky Fried Chicken, original recipe with some extras. So I pull up to the drive thru window and ask her what she wants and she tells me a hamburger! I said grandma, your killing me, we are the KFC for chicken. Anyway we got through that and finally to her house. About 7 pm she starts asking me what time we are going to bed. She told me I needed to take the sheets off the bed before I got in it. I told her the sheets weren't dirty I had only slept there twice since I changed them. She said I know but you need to take the sheets off so you can spread the chicken feathers out before you go to sleep! I just agreed with her. She said some other crazy stuff too. I hope she will finally snap out of this but I don't think she will.

I grocery shopped today and Ricky took the kids to a car show, now he and Brance are hunting. Annie and I starting to watch the movie Penelope its about a girl with a pig face.

Maybe Michelle can change my background?

I have a few photos but never take the time to move photos around to change my background. Michelle is slacking in the blog department. I manage to work and blog, why can't she?

I'm not liking the time change. Like an old lady, when it gets dark outside I think I should be asleep. Last Friday when I spent the night at my grandma's house she asked me at 7:30 pm what time I go to bed, when she asked me again at 8 pm, I told her I was ready. Annie stayed with mom so I actually got to go to bed alone. Wow! I slept so good.

We didn't go to church tonight. The kids love to go but when they don't do what I ask I don't go to church. I know that's really bad, however its very effective. You got to get them where it hurts and withholding church is great. Of course Annie will tell me how God is going to punish me like she does often, I have finally learned to ignore her and yes, its effective too!

Annie ran her mile at school today in 7.57 minutes! Go Annie Belle! She gets that from me I'm sure. For many of those that don't know at 10 I could have knocked it out pretty quick too. If I committed myself to do so now, I could knock it our pretty quick. Who am I kidding? I could complete the mile but I don't know how long it would take me! Now that's funny.

Darlene, Jaime and Karen will all be in training tomorrow and Friday. I have worked my butt off all week and still haven't gotten to the payroll, all handwritten 30 checks. Last count was actually 27 and Heather has added a few employees since then. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

My grandma didn't get great news today. The doctors said shes real healthy but her memory isn't good enough to go home alone yet. She cried all the way home and I think most of the afternoon, my Aunt Peggy is a saint for dealing with all the crap she deals with. So of course I'll be going back on Friday for probably the rest of her life or mine. That's okay, she will be gone one day and I won't regret not spending time with her. And when your the favorite grandchild somethings are jsut expected!
